Dog Breed: Hound / American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Flip Flop is a cute puppy who is looking for a new home. Flip Flop is with our rescue partner in North Carolina. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters. Flip Flop is a timid boy but he does just fine after a few minutes with new friends. He will walk on a leash some but stops when he is scared and sometimes has to be carried. He is learning. Flip Flop was introduced to a large adult male and did fine but was very nervous so he will be tested with other dogs too. Shelter staff are working on his confidence building. Flip Flop is fixed, up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $550. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption.
