Description

Dog Breed: Mountain Cur / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). If you are interested in any of the FFOSK9 pups, the first step is to fill out an application at .ffosk9resq/info/adoption . Shadow is a sweet heart of a puppy that at 15 weeks of age, weighs 25 pounds. We don't know for sure what his actual breed is but he does show characteristics of a Mountain Cur and a Golden lab personality!. He just loves to be with his people and snuggled up with them if he isn't playing with his other foster brothers and sisters. We aren't sure about cats, although he sees them through the fence every day. He also watches other farm animal such as chickens, ducks and geese. He doesn't show any aggression towards them or acts like he wants to get to them. He loves to play in the water as you can see in the video, or run and romp and play in the yard. Shadow is and active little guy and would do best with an active person or family. Going hiking, swimming, running or even boating would be ideal for him. He sleeps well in a crate at night but we are still working on his potty manners. He does great if let out early in the mornings and he will let you know when he needs to be taken out. Shadow will be available after July 9th when he is scheduled to be neutered. He is all caught up on vaccines and preventatives. His puppy wellness check was great! We are a home based, not for profit organization in Northeast Alabama that helps place forgotten and unwanted pets in forever homes. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)3 organization. We rescue pets from high kill shelters, prior to being euthanized, as well as strays and unwanted pets. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes nor do we adopt to anyone who wishes to crop, dock, or do any other alterations except the spaying and neutering of their pets. All pets are completely vetted, up to date on all vaccines, and given rabies certificates.
