This sweet senior Shih-Tzu is around 12 years old but is as excited as a puppy when you enter the room! She likes to stay close to her person and enjoys belly rubs and back scratches. Penny is looking for a new home after the passing of her owner. Penny has a few medical needs that are easily managed. From her foster: “Penny is an easy senior gal that just wants to be near her people! She loves eating, napping, car rides, and leisurely walks. She gets along well with dogs and is very good with kids. I haven’t seen her around cats or other animals but she is indifferent to new dogs she’s met so I would suspect she wouldn’t mind a cat or another critter. Penny is housebroken and does not need to be crated when left alone. At night, she’s perfectly content sleeping near her peoples bed in her cozy dog bed. Her personality is laid back and go with the flow. She rarely barks unless she needs something-wants to come inside, can’t get off the couch, or has lost sight of her people and knows they are nearby. Her medications are easy and she takes them like a champ!” Adoption fees are $250 unless otherwise stated. Senior dog adoption fees are $200. 100% of adoption fees are put back into the rescue so that another lonely and neglected dog can be rescued. We are grateful for your interest. Upon approval, the adoption fee is non-refundable. The fee includes the following: de-worming; heartworm, lymes, ehrlichia and anaplasmosis testing; all vaccinations including rabies; flea and tick treatment, microchipping and spay/neuter.
