Description
Dog Breed: Schnauzer (medium coat). ***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at .emmetcountyanimalshelter*** Just look at this adorable little guy! We don't know all of what he is mixed with besides schnauzer but what ever it is it sure made for one cute dog! Our little buddy's name is Toto and he is ready to find a super fun family to join! And if you're not already fun but want to add some fun to your life he says he's so much fun he can help you be fun too! Wouldn't that be fun!! Lol....seriously now, he's adorable, sweet and a ton of fun. He came into our care with two other dogs and seems to get along fine. We can certainly cat test him as well. Toto is less than 10 pounds, has a fur coat that doesn't have any more grooming requirements than a bath once in a while and did we mention he is super sweet? He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. What more could you ask for!??! His adoption fee is $300.00

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
