You can also find previous episodes on our YouTube channel (gprspyrs). If you would like a specific dog to be featured on our show, please email us at infogreatpyreneesrescuesociety.** Hi! I’m Anna, and I like to think of myself as the life of the dog party—I have a PhD in Playtime and a minor in Chew Toy Management. When it comes to people, I'm a tad shy at first (I like to double-check that you’re not secretly a vacuum cleaner in disguise). But don’t worry, it doesn’t take me long to realize you’ve got the good stuff, and once you pass my highly scientific sniff test, I'll be first in line when cuddles are being distributed. With other dogs, though? Oh, I skip the whole shy act. I’m a pro-level playmate—zoomies, wrestling, toy thievery, you name it. I’m also amazingly good with cats. I respect their aloofness, admire their confidence, and occasionally try to join their secret meetings (they haven’t kicked me out yet). I was born around January 2025, and I’ve got a bubbly, happy-go-lucky personality with just the right mix of playful silliness and snuggly sweetness. I’m a clever girl who’s already mastered the important stuff—I’m potty trained, kennel trained, and I prefer to dine in my crate like a tiny CEO holding a board meeting with kibble. My signature look features a show-stopping white coat with perfectly placed badger markings—seriously, it’s like nature took a paintbrush and said, “let’s give this girl some flair”! I could happily thrive in any home—one with a bustling family, or one that’s calm with adults sipping coffee while I supervise. But here’s the deal: I absolutely need a dog buddy because, let’s be honest, tag isn’t nearly as fun when you’re playing solo. So if you’ve been dreaming of a happy, huggable, super adorable sidekick who thinks every day is the BEST DAY EVER—that’s me! Let’s do this thing. Anna will need obedience training as she gets older and mature. There is a lot for a puppy to learn and like all small puppies, she will need someone who can be home with her a lot and provide her with love, patience and boundaries to help her become a loyal companion. She loves the companionship of other animals and requires another dog in the home to act as her mentor as she continues to understand the rules of her new world. ADOPT HERE: Complete an Adoption Application for your Pyr-fect new family companion at gprs.rescuegroups/forms/form?formid=6206. PUPPIES ARE ONLY PLACED IN HOMES WITH YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOGS WHO ARE AT LEAST 50 POUNDS. Our requirements for puppy adoptions are simple and necessary. Our puppies are not livestock guardians, they are family pets that live inside of the family home. Puppies must be placed in homes with a youthful, adult resident dog of similar size. This gives the puppy a mentor and a solid foundation for becoming part of the family. Puppies are only adopted to homes with someone at home at least part of the day. If no one is home for 6-8 hours at a time, please do not apply. Preference is always given to those with Great Pyrenees experience. Applicants must have secure, visible fencing and a socialization plan in place. The fastest way to be considered for a puppy is to fill out an application. Adoption is not first come, first served. GPRS and its fosters work diligently to find the right fit for each and every unique dog and puppy. Applicant’s personal pets must be current on vaccines & heartworm/flea prevention and be altered. Adoption fee: $450 (Adoption fee includes spay or neuter, distemper/parvo vaccines, flea preventative, deworming, and health certificate for travel). Adopters pay the cost of transport services outside of Texas area. Transport costs depend on location and company used. Northeast transport fee is $200. The Northwest and Midwest transport fees range from $225-$350. The Southeast transport fees range from $250-$350. GPRS has proudly placed thousands of Great Pyrenees and GP mixes in the PNW for over a decade. Our volunteers have over 100 years combined experience fostering, screening, and placing this majestic breed into loving, forever homes. When adopting from us, you can rest assured that we provide life-long support and advice when it comes to your new family member. As always, our purpose is to find the best match for every unique dog that comes through our doors. Taking the time to find the right fit comes first and foremost at the Great Pyrenees Rescue Society. If you are interested in adopting, please take the time, and apply. You will see firsthand how much care, attention and love goes into the process, when you are guided a personal screener. This is why we have people come back again and again for their next family member!
