Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (short coat). Location: RI Naomi is about 16 weeks old (born around 02/24/2025) Female cattle dog mix. She is UTD on all her shots and microchipped. This gal is super sweet and loving. Super gentle and playful. She is everything a fun loving puppy is known for and she doesn’t have a care in the world. She is from a litter of 7 and still plays with her litter mates. This girl loves all the hugs and kisses any stranger is willing to give. She loves snuggle time before naps and laying at your feet (or under your chair) if you work from home. She is looking for her forever home and someone out there is going to be lucky to have her. Puppies need socialization and training (potty/leash/crate/obedience) as they are raised to mature adults. Please ensure you have time to do both when raising a puppy before you apply. She will also need to be spayed when she is older. Naomi is a perfect pup waiting for the right family to snuggle on the couch with while watching TV and learn how to walk on a leash with while watching a sunset or sunrise. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
