Out of all the pups rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation, Wonder Woman has been taking her journey the slowest… but every little step she takes is a huge victory in our eyes!! Wonder Woman is just 2 Years Old. She’s a tiny brave girl at 20lbs! She came to us very timid, scared of sudden movements and unsure of the world outside but in her foster home, her gentle personality is finally coming through. We’ve got some TAIL WAGS! Wonder Woman LOVES: Belly rubs and snuggles, Following her foster dog brother everywhere (he’s her comfort + teacher!), Quiet crate naps in her safe space, Even the cats, she gets excited little whimpers when she sees them!, Greeting her foster mom after work with happy wiggles and kisses She’s still nervous about the outdoors, so leash walks are a work in progress, but inside she’s the sweetest low energy lovebug who just wants to be near her people and pup pals. Wonder Woman’s ideal home will be: Very patient and understanding of her slow, careful progress, a calmer, quieter environment where she can feel safe, and with another friendly dog who can be her role model and give her confidence. Her foster mom says: “If I didn’t already have a dog of my own, I’d adopt her in a heartbeat.” That’s how special she is. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
