Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Ranger is the sort of dog who would love to go for a walk to Dunks to get a pup cup before heading off on a hiking adventure in one of the MA State Parks and exploring. He enjoys socializing and exploring, likes playing with toys and people, and can't wait to meet the humans who will be his new besties. OTHER PETS: Ranger is social with other dogs but will need a laid back dog who will give appropriate feedback; he is still learning how to interact appropriately with other dogs and may need repeated communication from playmates about what they like and don't like. As with all our dogs, Ranger should meet any dog he would be living with prior to adoption. (Must Meet First)] OWNER EXPERIENCE: Someone experienced with positive reinforcement would be best suited to help a young strong dog who needs positive guidance and support. [Some Experience] KIDS: Ranger is a friendly, outgoing dog who doesn't know how to express his excitement in the most appropriate ways. He is a strong dog and jumps when excited and might unintentionally injure a smaller human as he matures and learns new skills. Ranger should meet any minor humans he would be living with prior to adoption. [12+/Dog Savvy (Must Meet First)] ACTIVITY LEVEL: Ranger is a young dog with a lot of energy; he is improving his leash walking skills and would do best with multiple daily walks, or a combination of walks and supervised outdoor playtime. Regular exercise and plenty of mental enrichment will help meet all his needs.
