Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Meet Hawk! This handsome boy came with a brother and sister all the way from North Carolina. Hawk is an energetic, extremely smart puppy who is learning manners and commands quickly. He is great on leash and loves going for walks and rides in the car. Hawk is great with other dogs although a little timid at first. He is extremely playful and loves to chase the gall or lay in the yard and get some sun and hang out. Hawk sleeps through the night in his crate and will nap in his crate during the day. He is a good boy with lots of puppy energy and he is going to make a great family pup. Hawk is an amazing little guy who's got lots of love to give, but would recommend a home with older children as being a puppy, he tends to jump and does get cases of the zoomies from time to time. He is up-to-date on his shots and neutered. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
