Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Hi, I'm Tiny! I'm super sweet, super smart, and SUPER handsome. Perfect combination! If you're looking for a running buddy, that would be me. I have gone on runs with a volunteer, and I do great. I run right next to you! I love treats, and will do tricks/commands for them. So far, I know sit, stay, down, shake, leave it, and come. I can be pretty independent at times, but I still love to get butt scratches and to be around people. I love going for walks, car rides, and to roll around in the grass! I've done great meeting other dogs, but I would do best as an only pet due to my really rough playstyle with other dogs. But don''t worry, I have enough love to give you to make up for it! Come meet me, I'll be your best friend forever!

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
