Description
Dog Breed: Yellow Labrador Retriever. This is Sunny’s bio. Does anything need to be added? My name is Sunny and I am about 15 months old. Sunny is a yellow lab mix and weighs about 55 pounds. She is high energy and loves the company of people. She is the best of cuddlers. She does not get along with one of the dogs in the same foster home, but gets along with the others. A meet & greet to ensure she gets along with potential adopter's dogs is required. Sunny is up-to-date with her shots, spayed and microchipped. She is house trained and can use a doggie door. She knows all the basic commands including sitting pretty for treats. She is in the process of being crate trained and doing good. Leash training is in progress. She sleeps in her crate at night but would be just as happy to share your bed with you. She loves the water and if you have a pool she will enjoy the water with you. She enjoys her puppy pool and playing in the sprinklers. With training she would be an excellent companion for enjoying the outdoors with you. Adopt! Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
