Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Sadie is a HEALTHY, HAPPY, WELL-TRAINED pittie mix. She is like a puppy only without having to be trained because she's 8. She's housebroken, loves people, good watch dog as well and has many years left in her. Unfortunately, my husband and I are seniors (he's 90 and I'm 77) and now that my back went out, i'm not able to walk her. She needs a younger person (could still be a senior) who will enjoy having a best friend to walk with, play ball with (see video), perhaps go hiking with and cudddle up to at night. She **** Breed: pitbull mixed with german shephard **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2184784&flag=1

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
