Description
Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie. Sweet Baylee! Baylee is the sweetest, easiest going girl. Baylee came to us when her owner passed away and she wound up in the shelter. Baylee is about 10.5 years old and the tiniest purse baby at about 5 lbs. She does have diabetes and dry eye so she will come with the remainder of the bottles of her 2 medications she has at the time of adoption. She is currently on insulin injections twice a day and dry eye drops in both eyes twice a day for the rest of her life. She is a perfect girl for them though and knows what she is supposed to do. She would love a home where she could be the princess she is. She loves to be carried around everywhere. She is dog, cat and kid friendly as well. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, prevention and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $300. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
