Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat). Bruce is an 8-month-old Australian Cattle Dog with a whole lot of loveâand energyâto give! This playful pup is full of life and gets along great with other young dogs who can match his bouncy, puppy-style play. He thrives in the company of canine friends who enjoy a good romp and understand the art of zoomies.Bruce is a people-lover at heart and is always excited to say helloâsometimes a little too excited! He's still learning not to jump up, but with some consistent training and guidance, heâll quickly become a well-mannered companion. Heâs smart, eager to learn, and just needs a home willing to invest in helping him grow up into the amazing dog we know heâll be.Despite his playful side, Bruce is quiet and calm in his kennelâa surprising bonus for a young cattle dog! Heâs a great mix of fun and chill, and he's looking for a home that can give him the exercise, structure, and love he needs. If youâre ready for an energetic, smart, and sweet pup whoâs still learning the ropes, Bruce is your guy!

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
