Description
Dog Breed: Fox Terrier / Mixed. Meet Quinn! This sweet, laidback 5yearold boy loves people more than anything. He’ll greet you with a wagging tail and happy smile, then quietly keep you company as your gentle shadow. Quinn loves cuddles, belly rubs, and will even hold your hand. He already knows “sit” and “paw” and would happily learn more tricks. Inside or out in the yard, he loves to explore at his own pace—but he’s never pushy, just patiently waiting for your attention. Quinn would do best with a calm dog buddy or as your one and only. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s happiest just being near you, Quinn is your guy! PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $250 and you can adopt me at .polkadogz.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
