Description
Dog Breed: Xoloitzcuintle/Mexican Hairless. Taking applications now for this very special guy. Choco is a 3 yr old Xolo (pronounced Show-low), or Xoloitzuintli for their full name. In short, Mexican hairless dog. We are still not certain how he is together with other animals. We have them in cages directly nose to nose and he couldn’t care less. Was told he barks at kitties but we've held kittens right in front of him and hes been uninterested in them. Im thinking he will bark or maybe chase if they run? Think he would do best with another small dog, probably female would be better. We would just have to test him with your animals. Shots neutered and microchipped Requirements **MUST have breed experience **no out of state **MUST bring your animals to meet him He will require certain care and specific home. He's missing all his middle teeth so softer food needed. He'll also need upkeep on his skin so it doesn't dry out. Located in Modesto Adoption fee is $500 For application please email us at infopupznpalz ****PLEASE DO NOT CALL TO CHECK STATUS OF A DOG...PHONE CALLS ARE FOR EMERGENCIES ONLY. EMAIL US WITH ANY QUESTIONS ON ADOPTION AS WE DO NOT GET BACK TO PHONE CALLS ABOUT ADOPTION. Shots up to date (DHPP), wormed, micro chipped, altered (spayed/neutered). Adoption cost for this dog is $500 We are a rescue, and although we have a facility in Modesto most of our dogs/pups are currently being fostered in or around our area. So please be willing to make the trip to see them if you are from out of the area. Our adoption process REQUIRES that an application must first be submitted and approved prior to meeting any of our pets. Just note that we may get several responses on one pet at a time so just because you have an approved application does not mean said pet is on hold for you. One must FIRST confirm an appointment to meet the pet after an approved application has been sent. To inquire about this specific pet, please write to infopupznpalz for an application. Please remember to put the pets name in the subject line when emailing, and on the top on the application. It helps us to help you that must faster. We are a group of volunteers, and ask that you please bare with us. We will get to each person just as quickly as we can. If you do not hear back from us within 24 hours, please send another request as we have been having problems with e-mail. email: infopupznpalz and ask for an application for which dog you are interested in phone: 209-480-8662 (9-6 pm only please, cell phone, emergencies only please...do not call to ask status of dog, email please) **ADOPTION EVENTS: to be announced **OUR FACILITY: Located at 1430 Carpenter Lane Suite B (by appointment only as we do not have set hours)

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
