Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier / Boxer / Mixed (medium coat). Meet Daisy Mae! This sweet, 3-year-old Boxer/Pittie mix is a gentle soul with a heart of gold. Shy at first, Daisy Mae takes a little time to warm up, but once she feels safe, her playful side shines through. She's an easy walker and enjoys strolls where she can take in the world at her own pace. During one volunteer visit, someone let out a playful howl...and Daisy Mae howled back! We're not quite sure if she was politely asking them to stop or just joining in the fun. Either way it was adorable. She is still learning to build her confidence, so patient guidance and gentle encouragement will help her blossom. Daisy Mae recently had her first dog-to-dog introduction and she rocked it! She and her new friend jumped, ran, and wrestled like carefree puppies. It was a beautiful glimpse into the joyful, loving dog she is becoming. If you're looking for a loyal companion who just needs a little time and tenderness, Daisy Mae may be your perfect match. All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
