Dog Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). Meet Gilbert! This darling little guy is tiny but mighty! Gilbert is a 3 pound, almost 3 month old brindle Chihuahua mix with a big heart. Don’t let his small size fool you…he’s full of playful puppy energy and endless sweetness. Gilbert is a social butterfly who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and absolutely lives for human attention. He’s your classic “play hard, nap harder” pup who loves romping with toys, chewing on bully sticks, and snuggling up after a big adventure. He will need continued potty training as it’s still new to him, and would probably enjoy puppy training classes. He’s tiny, so the right home and adopter will be a must. He will be neutered on us at one of our vets when age appropriate, is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and on preventatives. His adoption donation is $450. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you. Thank you for choosing adoption!!
