Description
Dog Breed: Siberian Husky (medium coat). Meet Frosty, the playful husky adolescent! This goofball came into the Shelter with a history of living with children ages 7 to 12 years old. He loves to play with toys. When playing fetch Frosty prefers that you throw the ball, he chases it and then makes you go pick it up to throw again. Staff have noticed that he enjoys playing in the kiddie pool at the Shelter. May be a future beach buddy? At the Shelter, Frosty has been eager to meet and play with other dogs. A sturdy canine companion to run around and wrestle with would be great to enrich Frostyâs life. Any resident dogs should do some speed dating prior to adoption. Due to Frostyâs history, a home free of felines is required. Now through July 19th, adoption fees are reduced to $70 thanks to the BISSEL Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelter event! Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.

Breed overview

Siberian Husky
A.K.A.: Chukcha, Chuksha
Overview:
The Siberian Husky is very similar in looks to the Alaskan Malamute, yet somewhat smaller in build and not quite as bold. Still, he needs a strong-willed owner who will stay in control. This dog loves to roam and explore, so he needs a nice big yard.
