Name: Cooper Best Guess for Breed: Coonhound mix Best Guess for Age: 9 years as of July 2025 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 87 lbs Gets Along With: Cooper has lived with other dogs, cats, and kids and done wonderfully with them all! Currently Living at: DC area home All about Cooper: Cooper came into our care back in 2017 and was adopted out at that time. Over the past eight years, he has been in a loving home. He raised the children in that home - they grew up and are in college now. He lived with cats and was great with them. He is wonderful with other dogs and enjoys interacting with them - he has gone to doggie daycare. He had free roam in the home - when he first arrived in the home, he was crated and was good in the crate. But they stopped using a crate with him long ago. Still, his past experience with crates was positive. Through no fault of anyone at all - he now needs a new home. He's in his senior years - medium energy, still eager for his walks, and great at chilling in the home. And he has all those years of loving and being loved - he knows what it's like to be a cherished family pet, and that is what he wants most of all now.
