Description
Dog Breed: Terrier. Ewok is a small-breed sweetheart with a gentle heart and a quiet spirit. While she may be a little shy when meeting new people, her warm, quirky personality shines through once she feels safe. A slow, gentle approach is the key to winning her trust-and once you have it, she'll be your most loyal cuddle buddy. She thrives in calm environments. She dreams of a cozy life full of snuggles on the couch and leisurely strolls through quiet neighborhoods. Due to her slightly bashful nature, Ewok would do best in a home with children aged 7 for her comfort. If you're looking for a soft, sensitive companion to share quiet moments, gentle love and a little bit of spunk, Ewok may just be your perfect match. Ewok is currently available by appointment. Please call 831-708-5842 to learn more about her!

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
