Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $500. Rocky is a gorgeous 19 week old male Austrailian cattle mix puppy that weighs 15 pounds of love and sweetness. He’s a playful, active, and loving puppy that would be a great addition to any active and loving family that love the cattle mix breeds. Rocky is incredibly smart, intuitive, and loves having a routine. We encourage our puppy adopters to provide them with structure, stability, consistency, love and puppy training to set them up for success. Rocky loves playing with his foster sister and enjoys playing with other dog friendly dogs. He enjoys chewing on bones, stuffed toys and would love to have a yard to run and play. He loves everyone he meets and has been great with children. Rocky has received his comprehensive fecal test, wellness exam, two rounds of puppy boosters and is microchipped. He’s packed with his favorite toys, and is looking forward to fun adventures with his loving forever family. If you're interested in adopting Rocky, please fill out an application at .doggiebonez. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
