Description
Dog Breed: Yellow Labrador Retriever (short coat). I'm Cooper Cosmo the magnificent!!! Leonardo DaVinci and I are males of the Renaissance. I warm up to anyone who is kind to me. My love is out of this world. I’m a kind soul that is looking for a Medici to come a save me. I would fit into any villa that has a warm hearth just for me! I'm tired of being a lost soul at sea, worrying about my last supper. If you could be the one for me, I'll never be a Moaning Lisa. Here is what the staff has to say about me: Cooper sure is a sweet and handsome guy. He has a really nice coat and twinkling eye. He always has a smile on his face. He also gets along with other dogs, kids too. He is only 12 months old and 68 pounds. He will make a fine family dog. Please call Faustina at 806-664-1615 since she can give you details about the animals! If you call the Pampa animal shelter please refer to the animals by their number listed after the names. Thank you for you cooperation!

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
