Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Riley is a handsome boy who is looking for a new home. He was surrendered as an "accidental" unwanted puppy, then adopted, but then dumped at a shelter a few months later. This sweet boy is now being fostered in NJ. Riley is a happy-go-lucky love bug with a heart as golden as his coat! At just 7 months old, this sweet Yellow Lab is the perfect mix of puppy energy and snuggly affection. He absolutely adores being near his people and will gladly curl up next to you for cuddles after a good play session. Riley loves dogs of all sizes and was very gentle and sweet when meeting a kitten. He’s already showing great promise on his walks and is incredibly food motivated, which makes training a breeze. Riley is still learning his puppy manners, but he’s a smart boy who’s picking up on basic commands quickly—he just needs a little guidance and consistency to keep him on the right track. He sleeps through the night in his crate like a champ and does great on his walks, making him an ideal adventure companion and snuggle buddy rolled into one. Riley is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. We are working on scheduling his neuter appointment. His adoption fee is $550. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption.
