Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat). Forever home wanted, meet Lainey! Lainey and her sister Tilly came into the Lancaster shelter back on June 18, 2025 as strays with no identification or microchip. The girls sat there for three weeks and no one ever came looking for them. The girls were pretty shy, Lainey more so than Tilly, she would hide under the bed in the kennel. When we saw them, we wanted to help them as they seemed pretty overwhelmed in the overcrowded shelter. Luckily a foster home opened up and we were able to spring them. The girls are adjusting wonderfully in their foster home, getting lots of socialization with the neighbors. They are rocking the pee pad training and are well on their way to potty training. Lainey is very affectionate and loves to cuddle in your lap. Lainey is an exceptional puppy, very low key, not vocal and sleeps through the night.
