Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed (medium coat). Meet Woody! Woody is the perfect mix of sweet and spunky! He's happy, playful and affectionate. He's doing great learning the routine for getting in his crate when we leave and at night. He whines a little, but settles easily. He's learning to potty outside well, but still has some accidents in the house. He loves to run around with toys and really tries hard to get the big dogs to play with him. He's got playful puppy energy so he'd love a dog that will play with him or at least be tolerant of his antics! He's a cuddler and a kisser and always excited to meet new people! Woody has received his initial puppy vaccinations and is chipped. His adoption fee is $525. He will be neutered at our cost between 8-12 months of age. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life! A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
