Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler (medium coat). Iâm a cattle dog, but Iâm not the type youâd see chasing after cows or working up a storm. Nope, Iâm more about keeping things mellow. Sure, Iâve got the instincts and the energy to move when I need to, but most of the time? Iâm all about lounging. I find the best spot on the couch or curl up in a sunbeam and just enjoy the peace. Iâm a people dog, through and through. Wherever they are, thatâs where I want to be. Not in the way, just close enough to feel like Iâm part of the crew. When someone sits down, Iâm there, quietly settled by their side, maybe resting my head on their lap or just keeping them company while they go about their day. Iâm a listener, a companion, and a perfect partner for just about any laid-back activity. I love my space, but I love my people even more. Thereâs something about being near them that just makes everything feel right. Whether itâs a walk, a chill evening in, or just hanging out in the backyard, Iâm content as long as Iâm with the ones I care about.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
