Description
Dog Breed: Poodle (unknown type) (long coat). Howdy, partners! My name's Theodore, but you can call me Theo. I'm a 3 year old, 11 lb Poodle with a heart as soft as a fresh baked biscuit and a whole lotta love just waitin' to be shared. Life started a little rough for me in one of them ol' puppy mills, so I'm still learnin' what it means to be a beloved house dog. Loud noises and chaos can spook me faster than a tumbleweed in a dust storm, but I'm workin' real hard to find my courage, one tail wag at a time. I ain't quite got the hang of this whole "housetraining" thing yet since I spent my first few years without the chance. Time and patience will go a long way with this country boy. When I feel safe, my sweet side comes shinin' through like the morning sun over a quiet prairie. I'll nuzzle right into your lap, rest my head on your boots, and give you them big, soulful eyes that say, "Thanks for not givin' up on me." I get along just fine with other pups and I would actually love a home with another dog I can learn from. I will need folks who understand I need time to bloom. Fast paced rodeos? Not my style. But peaceful porch sittin'? Count me in. I freeze when a leash is hooked to me, so a fenced in yard will be important. If you've got a big heart, a calm home, and a soft spot for underdogs, I reckon we just might be a perfect match. Let's ride off into the sunset together…me, you, and a second chance at life. I’m now neutered, fully vetted and vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, on preventatives, and freshly groomed. My adoption donation is $425. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
