Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Australian Shepherd / Mixed (short coat). Gamora Pembroke, MA Sisters Nebula and Gamora are ready to blast off on new adventures! These little firecrackers are bold, smart, and will give you a run for your money. Both pups are high energy and will require active homes who are interested in working both their bodies and minds. A fenced yard will be beneficial for this, but in the end it's going to come down to your commitment to fulfilling their needs. Both pups have an interest in training with high food motivation, and show some good drive towards toys: they enjoy chasing disc/frisbee rollers and playing a little tug. They both also show some herding instinct and Gamora in particular has gone for my ankles a few times Their ideal homes have breed experience and an interest in training or dabbling in sports. Channel their energy into proper avenues or they'll use it for chaos and anarchy! Speaking of training, the pups are working on housetraining, crating, and foundational skills. As puppies, their adoptive families will need to continue this work. Gamora can become easily frustrated and have a hard time in her crate when she sees people/dogs, but she has been making great progress - adequate exercise helps tremendously. That said, since she's not afraid to use her voice when upset, apartment life is not for her at this time. Both pups have been doing well with exposure to new sights, sounds, people, and animals. They show a lot of curiosity and are pretty bold babies! They are inquisitive but cautious around kittens, are quick to make friends with new people, and have a lot of exposure to dogs of various breeds. Gamora loves playing with other dogs and holds her own with larger pups within reason. She has been neutral to dogs and people in public, showing a small amount of hesitation in busy new areas but a willingness to train. A little continued positive exposure should shore up her confidence! Nebula and Gamora have an estimated birthday around the end of April, and were 13lbs each at around 11wks of age. They were surrendered without either parent, but appear to be a herdy mix (ACD, and perhaps Aussie Shepherd or BC with a splash of Corgi). They are microchipped and up to date on monthly preventatives/deworming, have age-appropriate vaccinations, and are being adopted out on spay contracts to allow their puppy bodies and minds more time to develop. The puppies are available to separate homes, and must meet their potential families prior to adoption in order to help ensure a great match.
