Description
Dog Breed: Cattle Dog / Schnauzer / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: $350.00. Hey there, I’m Mylow! — a Schnauzer/Heeler mix with a baby face and an old soul. Just a 6-month-old pup on the quest for the one (or a family full of “the ones” — I have a lot of love to give). I’m chill, affectionate, and totally into long walks (on a leash, where I absolutely slay). People say I’m treat-motivated — I say I’m goal-oriented. I sleep through the night like a dream and I’m 90% potty trained (I mean, come on, who’s perfect at 6 months?). I’m also kennel trained, but I’m happiest close to my people or snuggled next to a fellow pup. Making other dogs fall in love with me (I’m a social butterfly in a scruffy disguise) Collecting toys Longingly loving you from across the room with my soulful eyes Giving off nothing but chill vibes only What I’m Looking For: Someone with a warm lap, a big heart, and a decent treat stash. Bonus points if you’re into dog parks, snuggling, and think “good boy” is the love language. I’m great with kids and the elderly! I have never met a cat… but honestly I’d crush that interaction too! If you’re ready for a loyal, low-drama, high-affection kind of relationship — swipe right on me, Mylow! Let’s make fetch happen apply here: bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
