Description
Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. {s1550code1114/} {s1550code1111/} {s1550code1113/} FROM THE FOSTER: She is very sweet, loves attention, loves to be picked up and held, loves to cuddle. She is playful and get excited easily. She gets along great with my sisters dog, Kane, who is a 65 lb pittie mix. He is a gentle player so she likes him. Her other dog Maeve is crazy energetic and a little too much for her. She doesn’t bark much at all. She stays in the guest bedroom and is well mannered and doesn't destroy things. Okay with cats unless the cats try to bother her. Like if a cat goes after her or hisses, she will chase the cat back. But if a cat ignores her, they’re fine to walk around together. She is doing well walking on leashes outside. She would be a great little condo dog.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
