Dog Breed: Australian Shepherd / Mixed. Issac came in as a stray, and NO ONE claimed him. Like many others, their backgrounds are unknown. He is a sweetheart! He knows sit, and will paw at you for attention, and is potty trained, never going in his kennel! (We are unsure if he is housebroken) He is still adjusting, but his personality shows better in a calmer environment. He can be playful, likes to give hugs, and is a little particular about his treats. He is on the younger side, so you can expect some potential chewing and shredding of items. We keep them busy enough and he does really well here, apart from one small spot on his bed. He seems to tolerate other dogs just fine, but some of the louder ones make him a little nervous and he wants to be in a safe space where it is quieter. Anyone would be lucky to have this young man! We estimate him to be about one year old, so there’s not much more growing(if any) he will do. He weighs 49 pounds, so he seems to be a mini Aussie. All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice.
