Description
Dog Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois. ____________________________________________________________ Coordinator: Carol Aulick COURTESY POST Panda is an approximately 5 years old Belgian Malinois weighing around 60 pounds. He was found wandering the streets of Houston and was picked up by a good Samaritan but is in need of a foster or adopter. He is very smart and behaves like a police k-9 (heals, sits on command, walks prudently on a leash) and likes to be mentally stimulated. His puppy days are behind him and as such he is fully house and crate trained. Panda is very loyal and loves human companionship. He will be your shadow as well as your couch napping buddy. He loves to play with toys and walks great on a leash. Panda is located in Houston, Texas but can be transported anywhere in the US. Please reach out if he could be a good addition to your home. If interested in adopting Panda, please email his contact at luckytailsincgmail ABMR thanks you for taking the time to look at our malinois available for adoption.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
