Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Quinn is a sweet and obedient 4-year-old dog who has been a beloved part of my family since I got her from my uncle at just six weeks old. She is 50% Catahoula Cur, 25% American Bulldog, and 25% Pit Bull, giving her a unique and beautiful look. She is fully house-trained and well-mannered, making her a wonderful companion. Quinn has never shown aggression to any human and loves everyone she meets. She does not know a stranger and has the sweetest temperament. She is as sweet as they come! While she's not particularly fond of cats, she gets along well with most dogs. She is also very quiet and hardly ever barks, only making noise when she hears a knock on the door. Quinn is also very scared of thunder and lightening and needs consolation during storms. Quinn thrives in an indoor home where she can be close to her family, receiving the love and attention she deserves. **** Breed: American Bulldog/Catahoula Cur/pit bull **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2185757&flag=1

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
