Dog Breed: Chocolate Labrador Retriever / Terrier / Mixed. Meet Zeus – a tall, chocolate Lab mix with stunning eyes and an even more stunning love for tennis balls. This guy is a certified ball FUNATIC—and we mean it. He puts the fun in fanatic! The moment you say, “You ready?” he’ll light up, drop the ball at your feet, and get ready to go again... and again... and again. And if you hesitate? Don’t worry—those big, soulful eyes will lock onto you until you give in. (Spoiler: You always will.) But Zeus isn’t just about fetch—he’s also a sweet, sensitive soul who wants nothing more than to be cuddled like a baby. Yes, he’s a big boy, but that doesn’t stop him from trying to fit right in your lap like a 10-pound pup. He's a true lap dog at heart, no matter his size. Zeus also lived with cats in his previous home and did well with them, so he may be open to some feline friends in his next adventure. He’s currently pending a dog-to-dog test, so stay tuned to see how he does with potential canine companions! Zeus has been deemed Potentially Dangerous in Maryland due to repeated incidents of him running loose, chasing, barking, and behaving aggressively toward other people and dogs. Potentially Dangerous is not the same as being deemed dangerous. For more information, ask a staff member.
