Description

Dog Breed: Pit Bull Terrier (medium coat). Meet Fig: Sweet as a Fig Newton! Fig may be tiny, but she's packed with sweetness, just like her namesake. This 2 to 4-year-old sweetheart is a petite cuddlebug who's already stolen our hearts. While she can be timid at the shelter, a recent overnight foster showed us just how quickly she blossoms in a home. The moment she stepped inside, it was night and day—she curled up under the covers, snuggled close, and acted like she'd always belonged there. Her personality is far bigger than her little frame. Fig is super food-motivated, knows “sit,” and walks like a dream on leash (unless a squirrel dares to cross her path!). She’s curious about other dogs and may do well with slow introductions, but cats are likely not her favorite (but anyone can learn...). She appears to be mostly potty trained; she had a couple of “new home” accidents at first but quickly started going outside like a pro. She's clearly used to being a beloved companion, happily hopping onto furniture and burrowing under blankets for naps. She does show some separation anxiety (she cries and barks when left alone), so she'd thrive with someone who's home often or who will help her get through her stress (we offer free online training support for the first month). Bones are her toy of choice, but mostly Fig just wants to be near her people. Small, snuggly, and sweet, Fig is the perfect little treat you've been waiting for! All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months). All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control.
