Description
Dog Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie (long coat). Adoption Fee: $175.00. Hello there, Fendi here, and I am looking for a new home. I am a 4 year old yorkie weighing in at 14lbs. I try to be a good little kid, but I am a door dasher. Given the chance I am out the door and on the run. Oooo it is so much fun, but oh so dangerous, so I am looking for a home with a fenced yard so I can run and explore outside. I generally get along with other dogs, but not large male dogs. Large female dogs are ok. No children under 5 years old please. NO LARGE MALE DOGS IN THE HOME PLEASE! If you think I am the boy for you, please fill out an online application. If interested, you can easily fill out an adoption application by clicking here: adoption application For those viewing on Petfinder, if you are interested in adopting this animal please click on More About Rose's Rescue, you may fill out adoption application from there. Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
