Description
Dog Breed: Unknown breed. Looking for a Loving Home for Kiko We’re looking to find a new home for Kiko, a very sweet and cuddly dog who loves people and being outside. He’s playful, affectionate, and happiest when he’s in the sun or near water—if you let him, he’ll drink an entire bathtub! He really just wants to be close to you and be part of your world. Kiko is in need of a new home due to a change in living circumstances. We just want him to go somewhere safe and loving where he can thrive. If you or someone you know is looking for a great dog who loves adventure and snuggling up to relax, please reach out. We’re happy to answer any questions or help with the transition. Thank you **** Breed: German Shepherd **** Pet Link: .nokillnetwork/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2185807&flag=1

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
