Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Love comes in triplicate with this 2 month old mixed breed litter (Batman, Robin and Ivy). Hearts will be fluttering and love will be blooming after meeting our boy Batman. His sweetness is irresistible and upon meeting him, falling head over heels will become reality. Batman is young and a small size of 8 pounds. Growing bigger is in his future and we are estimating that he will be a medium sized dog of somewhere under 60 pounds when he is fully grown. Whatever his weight is, he will be a delightful to his family as they watch him grow up. He is a sweet and lovable boy who gets along well with everyone. Interactions with other dogs, children of all ages and cats are more than welcome to becoming his best friend. The friends list keeps growing and Batman has no intention of ever ending the list. A playful and exuberant boy like Batman will enjoy lots of play, running around and exploration. One and all will always have an open invitation to all of his activities. Looking forward to his home life and being a part of his family, Batman is concentrating on learning his house, crate and leash training. One day he knows he will have each skill down pat. In the meantime he will require the assistance of his family to support him along the way. Watching him grow, learn life of a family dog and feeling the warmth and joy of his love will feel like a dream come true for Batman and you. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
