Dog Breed: Labrador Retriever / Shepherd / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 600. Deuces is a lovable, silly, and smart puppy who brings joy wherever he goes. He was found as a stray near an abandoned warehouse in Texas, likely dumped, but despite his rough start, he showed up at this Texas foster home friendly, eager, and ready to be someone’s best friend. He’s still young and full of that classic puppy energy—wrestling with his dog friends, chewing on toys, and curling up for snuggles (usually upside down) when it’s time to nap. Deuces is very curious and responds well to routine. He’s already started harness and leash training and, while cautious in new environments, he’s quick to bounce back and eager to learn. He picks up on cues from other dogs and has shown great social awareness for his age. He thrives with positive reinforcement and would do well with someone who’s ready to invest in consistent training. He’s healthy now but came in underweight and is still catching up—nothing a little food and love won’t fix. He needs a yard to burn off energy, regular potty breaks, and chew toys to keep him busy. He barks a bit when something new catches his attention or when he hears neighbor dogs, but it’s typical puppy talk. Deuces would do best in an active home with a dog playmate and a family ready to guide him through all the fun stages of growing up. He’s the kind of pup who turns every day into an adventure—and every couch into his personal nap zone. Deuces is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 8/9 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9AM and 11AM. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
