Silkie is a fun-loving, social pup who’s always up for a game of tug or a cozy nap under a piece of furniture — especially if she has a buddy to snuggle with. She gets along with all her littermates and would thrive in a home with another playful dog to keep her company. She was rescued as a stray along with her beagle mom and littermates. Luckily, Silkie had enough time with her mom to learn valuable puppy manners and social skills. She’s a confident, playful puppy who also enjoys being held and snuggled. Silkie makes the cutest growls while playing but is otherwise a pretty quiet puppy. Silkie's breed mix includes working dogs, so she’ll need structure, training, and plenty of mental and physical stimulation as she grows. Like all puppies, she’s learning how to be a great housemate and will benefit from patient, consistent guidance. Silkie is looking for an active, committed family who will love her through every stage — from snuggly puppyhood to curious adolescence and beyond. She deserves a home where she’s not just a pet, but a true member of the family. They arrive in Minnesota on 8/9 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9AM and 11AM. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
