Description
Dog Breed: Boxer. Meet Minnie ! I am as sweet and friendly as the mouse herself. I am a 3yo Boxer who is ready to find my FUR-EVER home. I am being fostered with 2 other large dogs and we go to work with foster mom at the barn. The barn has ALL kinds of other exciting things - horses, humans and lots of fur-friends. I love everyone we meet. Feline friends would likely be ok with me if dog savvy. Foster mom has small humans that visit often too and they are right at MY eye level, all the better to lick them straight on the cheeks. I do well in my crate and doing excellent with my house training. Leash walks are still quite new (I don't usually do my business unless I'm off-leash - foster mom says it's a learning curve). I am originally from a commercial breeder and am learning for the first time how to live indoors with my humans. In true Boxer fashion, I am LOVING being next to my people! Resting up next to foster mom on the couch at night after work is my favorite thing to do. If I sound like a good fit for you - have your people call my people, I'd love to meet! *located in Schomberg Ideal Home for This Foster Dog Location: Adaptable to suburban, rural, farm, or city living – she’s laid back and enjoys walks and barn life. Type of Home: Flexible! Suitable for apartments, condos, semis, or detached homes, ideally with access to a park or space for zoomies. Kids: Great with kids of all ages – gentle and patient. Seniors: A good match – very calm and gentle. Activity Level: Prefers a quieter or moderately active home. Still building strength and confidence, but enjoys walks. Other Pets: Good with other dogs. Would enjoy a semi-playful canine companion. No prey drive, so likely okay with small animals or farm animals too. Alone Time: Can be left alone for the workday but would benefit from a mid-day walk or dog friend. Crate trained. House Training: Still working on it – a yard would help. Doesn’t like going on leash yet. Training Needs: Needs continued basic training (commands, recall). Responds well to encouragement. Noise Sensitivity: Startled by loud noises but adjusts quickly. Quirks: May carry items around when anxious but is not destructive. Still adjusting to a busier, indoor life.
