When I first arrived here at rescue I was very shy, reserved, and kept to myself. I wasn't the front runner, the one winning at the race of life. Once I got into foster care, however, I began the kick toward the finishline and am now looking to lead into the homestretch. My fur was super matted when I entered the race. My foster family showed me that I could trust them, that they would be there for me during my training to become the winner for someone someday. Once I began to trust, my fur was washed and brushed out, and now I look and feel like a whole new competitor! I'm gaining confidence more and more as I navigate a loving and safe environment.
