Description
Dog Breed: American Bulldog. *Name: Apollo *Age: Est DOB 11/7/24 *Current Weight: 45lbs *Adoption fee: $550 Meet Apollo! Apollo may be short in stature, but he’s overflowing with personality! This charming little bulldog is a natural-born entertainer, always ready to make you laugh with his goofy antics and signature low-rider swagger. Apollo has some issues with his front legs that keep him from climbing steps, but TBH he doesn’t let his physical impairment hold him back. Whether he's playfully chewing his favorite toys or doggie boys, or romping around the yard with with his best bud and foster brother Basil, Apollo is all about living life to the fullest. When he’s not clowning around, you’ll find him fully committed being a world-class couch potato. Snuggles, snacks, and snoozes? Yes, please! Apollo is crate trained, a space he enjoys sleeping in at nigiht. Apollo is full of love and looking for a forever home that will appreciate both his spunky spirit and his snuggly side. Breed overview

American Bulldog
Overview:
Originally used in the 17th century for bull baiting—a wagering sport in which dogs fought bulls in a ring—Bulldogs had taller, more athletic frames (much like the Olde English Bulldogge). When bull baiting was outlawed in 1835, Bulldogs were bred to be kinder, heavier and more relaxed. However, American Bulldogs—which were brought to the U.S. before this breeding pattern—retained the size and strength of the original Bulldogs. Great family dogs, American Bulldogs are sweet to children. They love family-oriented occasions and want to be involved. With proper training and socialization, you’ll find them outgoing and exceedingly loyal. Some American Bulldogs will go to great lengths to protect their masters. Tough and determined, American Bulldogs have an impressive stamina and strength. They are always game for playtime in the back yard or working in the field.
