She’s the perfect mix of spunky and sweet, with a love for belly rubs and a knack for making everyone smile. Her affectionate and outgoing nature means she’s always the life of the party! Give Semolina a toy and you will be best freinds, this girl loves to play fetch and rug. Soft squeaky toys are her favorite! From jumping around like a little bunny to spinning in circles when she’s excited, her enthusiasm is infectious. Her tail is always wagging at full speed, and her ears are constantly perking up at every sound. When she’s not being a bundle of joy, Semolina is snuggling up close for affection, where her soft side really shines through. Together, they bring endless joy and laughter, and there's never a dull moment with this adorable trio of bread-inspired pups! These lovely pups can be adopted together or separetely. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants. The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
