Dog Breed: Terrier / Mixed. Available for Adoption: Meet Andy! Andy is the perfect example of dynamite in a small package! This little guy is a rocket on speed skates — full of energy, charm, and personality. Despite his small size, Andy is brave, outgoing, and absolutely hilarious. He’s the kind of pup who talks back, always has the last word, and will keep you smiling with his adorable “arguments.” Whether you're at home or hosting a get-together, Andy is all the entertainment you'll need — he’s a one-dog comedy show! He’s gentle, obedient, well-mannered, and very loving. Andy is currently working on crate and potty training and is already piddle pad trained. He’s fantastic with kids, cats, and other dogs, making him a great fit for just about any home. Bonus: he’s small enough to ride in your purse and go on adventures with you! If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big personality and a heart full of love, Andy might be your perfect match. He has had a vet visit, is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated - DHPP x 2 (needs 2 more & are included through GTDR), Rabies, & Bordetella x 2. He’s had a 4 DX test (testing for Lyme disease and two types of tick-borne illnesses), flea/tick/heartworm prevention (Nexgard Plus), two dewormings, and 2 fecal test. Adopters will receive all original paperwork, a 14-day health guarantee, a collar, harness, leash, seatbelt lock, and a week's worth of food. Your perfect adventure companion is waiting! We operate on a first-come, first-served basis and are by appointment only. We are located in Mesa near Gilbert/Brown & offer flexible hours for meet-and-greet appointments. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
