Dog Breed: American Staffordshire Terrier / Mixed (medium coat). Tiger is a fantastic, energetic dog who is looking for an owner ready for fun and adventure! Found as a stray, Tiger quickly shows his loving nature once he's out of the kennel and ready to explore the world. Out of the Kennel and Into Action •Happy Explorer: Tiger loves his walks and is energetic! He's eager to explore the yard and sniff around, often seeking limited attention because he's just so happy to be out and about. •Smart and Treat Motivated: He is food motivated and already knows the commands `sit` and `paw,` making him a great student for more training. He also takes treats gently! •Car Companion: Tiger rides well in the car, making him an excellent partner for road trips, errands, and quick trips to the dog park. •Affectionate: He absolutely loves back scratches! Energy Management and Training Tiger is a strong boy with a lot to say! •Vocal Kennel Presentation: Tiger can be very vocal and excited in his kennel, and it may take a moment for him to calm down enough to leash him. This is classic kennel stress—he just desperately wants to be out with you! •Leash Work: He is strong and pulls on the leash and gets easily focused on other animals and people he encounters. He needs an owner committed to positive reinforcement and loose-leash training to help him learn better manners on neighborhood walks. •Dog Play: While he can be excited (and sometimes reactive) toward dogs when contained, Tiger was calmly non-reactive to bicycles and loved playing when safely introduced to another dog in the yard.
