Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (short coat). Location: Canton, NY Put your sunglasses on, cuz Imma gonna blind you with my cuteness! Yes, I know, you are looking at my tiny little body and saying that ain't no cattle dog! I is! And I got the sass to prove it, just kidding! Mama says I shouldn't scare you off, cuz I am actually one of the most sweetest cuddly puppies she has ever had! I do my very best to be a good girl! I am already catching on to going potty outside and I have only had a few accidents inside (don't make mama feel bad she just didn't understand what I was trying to tell her). I sleep like a perfect angel at night inside my crate with my brother or sometimes on the couch with mama cuz she really likes my snuggles. I am living with nine other dogs right now (including my brother Koda); and I am learning quickly who is crabby and who will play with me. Mama says I am being respectful but I call it keeping my tiny little white butt in one piece. I have discovered I really like toys, especially toys I can play tug with and nylabones! Today I showed mom and dad I can carry a tennis ball around in my tiny little mouth. I love love love to run outside and am getting pretty good at coming when called; but after playing outside, I like to come in and curl up for a good nap! You know you want a Kaya in your life to go on adventures with so hurry up and fill out that adoption application! If you want to know more about me or have any questions email my foster mom at mrulffesgmail cuz I am not allowed to play on the computer yet! Foster mom here! Kaya is an amazing tiny eight pound, nine to ten week old bundle of joy! She has integrated into our pack pretty quickly and takes cues pretty well from the older dogs who truly do not want any part of a puppy! She plays really well with our younger playful dogs. She is doing really well with housetraining, is crate trained, and is very food motivated! She seems to catch on to new things pretty quickly. She is very affectionate and wraps her paws around your hand while you rub her tiny little belly! She is up to date on age appropriate vaccines, but will need boosters down the road. She is microchipped and she will come with a spay contract. Kaya is currently being fostered in Canton, NY, but please do not let distance deter you, we are willing to drive a few hours to meet the right family!

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
