No What kind of home would be best for me? Bluebell absolutely thrives in the company of other dogs. She plays sweetly, learns quickly from her companions, and gains confidence through connection. For that reason, another dog in the home isn’t just ideal—it’s essential. She needs a canine friend to show her the ropes, guide her in play, and help her continue growing into the balanced and joyful dog she’s meant to be. One of her greatest joys is her sister, Nolana. The two share a beautiful bond built on play, comfort, and sisterly love. While Bluebell doesn’t need Nolana to be adopted with her, it would certainly make her heart happy. They would transition into their next chapter with the same joy they’ve always had - side by side. PUPPY POLICY: Thank you for carefully considering the addition of a puppy to your family. Puppies can be a joyous experience, but they can also be a tremendous amount of work. Since our goal is to place each of our dogs in forever homes, we are especially cautious with puppies. We like to stress 3 major things when considering a puppy vs. an adult dog: 1) many adult dogs are well bred, well trained dogs who find themselves in rescue through no fault of their own, 2) adult dogs are eager to share their love and bond with their new family, and 3) puppies will always require far more time, energy, and training than an adult dog. Our ideal puppy adopters are: -experienced dog owners with a solid record of excellent vet care of their previous pets -scheduled away from home for no more than 4 hours per day and have another canine companion already in the home -stay at home type of people (work at home, home schoolers, retired, etc) What is my personality like? Bluebell - A Gentle Mind, a Thoughtful Heart, and a World of Potential. Meet Bluebell, a soft-souled little explorer with a mind that never stops working and a heart wide open to learning, loving, and growing. Bluebell is the kind of puppy who watches the butterflies before chasing them, who pauses before pouncing, and who listens twice as much as she barks. In short—she’s wise beyond her puppy months. Bluebell has a natural curiosity for the world around her. She takes in her surroundings with a calm, thoughtful presence—like she’s studying life so she can master it. This beautiful way of being has made her not only incredibly observant, but wonderfully intelligent. She’s picking up on potty training quickly, doing well in her crate, and already grasping basic manners with an ease that speaks volumes about her potential. She's not just clever—she's teachable, eager, and entirely present. Bluebell is not a wild child or a shy shadow. She’s something rarer—a thinker, a learner, and a quiet blossom still unfolding. If you’re ready to open your home to a puppy who will watch you with wondering eyes and follow your lead with gentle trust, Bluebell is ready to begin the journey with you. How do I act when I first meet new people? Bluebell happily greets new people. She'll watch you more than play with you at first, but that's just her maturity beyond years. Other tips and tidbits: Bluebell was born 4/22/2025. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina. To apply, please visit our webpage at .carolinapoodlerescue and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home. You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc. Others here may be a better fit for you. It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description. Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a dog not in our listings yet. We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR.

Breed overview

Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
