Dog Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $325. All dogs on the Best Friend Pet Adoption website ARE available and require an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application before you can be considered or meet any of our dogs. Meet Blueberry- this sweet little girl is looking for a patient adopter to help her continue learning about the world and people in it. Blueberry is a little on the shy side but is getting braver everyday. It takes her a few minutes to warm up but she loves people. She is also starting to make some dog friends and learning to be brave around new pups! Because she's on the timid side, right now Blueberry is not suitable for homes with small children. Older dog savvy children would be preferred. To help her become the best dog possible, her adopter will be given additional training sessions with our preferred training facility for 4 months (or 12 sessions) of free 1:1 training. This is a great benefit for both Blueberry and her new home. She is crate trained. Since she is still a puppy, we are working on being more consistent with her potty habits outside of the crate. Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized. Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions. We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.
